What is Dietetics?

Dietetics is the science of applying food to nutrition and health. It is a concentration within our Food Science and Human Nutrition major. Dietetics is a vital, growing field that addresses today’s complex nutrition and health issues. Your classes will cover many topics:

  • The human body

These topics will give you a solid foundation to build from and provide plans for high-quality food and nutrition. Our program will allow you to enter dietetic internships and graduate programs to become a registered dietitian. You can apply directly into this concentration.
