What is Secondary Education: Social Studies?
Our Secondary Education minor is a component of the teaching option within History. This minor fulfills state requirements to teach Social Studies in grades 9 through 12. As a Secondary Education student, you will learn how to plan lessons. Our program will teach you how to assess the strengths and weaknesses of your students. You'll practice strategies on how to help students overcome specific learning challenges. If you’re interested in this program, you’ll apply to the History major.
