What is Teacher Education: French (K-12)?

This program will prepare you to teach French in grades kindergarten through 12 in Illinois public schools. As part of your curriculum, you’ll also be encouraged to study abroad in a country that speaks French. If you’re interested in Teacher Education, you’ll apply to the French major. Once you’ve completed most of your major requirements, you’ll apply into the Teacher Education program. This is usually by the end of your sophomore year.
