What is French?

Our French major and minor build a strong competency in the language as well as the cultures who speak it. Students will engage with:

  • Cinema
  • Francophone world
  • Virtual reality
  • Translation

A well-designed series of courses in the French language will help you become fluent in French. You can choose from two concentrations: French Studies and French Commercial Studies. A Teacher Education option is also available for students looking to teach French at the high school level.
