What is Theatre Studies?

This major prepares students planning to pursue professional careers in areas of theatre that require advanced training and specialization at the graduate level. Our curriculum focuses on the comprehensive study of theatre practices, material participation in current theatre practices, and the discovery and application of theatre practices for the future. With a Theatre Studies major, you’ll be able to engage in playwriting, manage business operations around art organizations, specialize in theatre history and criticism, and more. You must submit a portfolio before being accepted into this program.
