What is Stage Management?

Stage Management is a concentration within Theatre. This program helps theatre artists develop into professional stage managers. Students will gain the resources and experiences needed to meet the demands of any live performance genre. Learning takes place in a creative and dynamic production environment. In this program, you will develop communication, team management, and technical skills. You’ll also gain hands-on experience working as a stage manager and production coordinator in theatre, lyric theatre, and dance productions. You can apply directly into this concentration, although you must submit a portfolio before being accepted.
