CompareThis program will prepare you to teach German in grades kindergarten through 12 in Illinois public schools. As part of your curriculum, you’ll also be encouraged to study abroad in a country that speaks German. If you’re interested in Teacher Education, you’ll apply to the Germanic Studies major. Once you’ve completed most of your major requirements, you’ll apply into the Teacher Education program. This is usually by the end of your sophomore year.
