College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
CompareThis is a program for students who plan to pursue careers in Linguistics with a background in Computer Science.
You’ll learn the tools of computer science through programming and research, as well as philosophical analysis. You’ll also gain experience in labs, where our faculty members are at the forefront of experimental research. In this major, you’ll be able to harness the power of computers to better explain and understand languages. You will combine the two fields to give computers natural, human-like behavior and an understanding of language. You will also create programs that use natural language communication.
