What is Studio Art (BA)?

This major focuses on the study of art, design, and art history in the context of a broader program of study. Students gain a strong education in studio art while having the flexibility to pursue studies in other areas. You will have an individual studio space housed in a communal studio building. You'll be able to work alongside other student-artists in a strong, vibrant community. A significant part of the educational experience will also occur outside of the studio. As you progress through the program, you'll establish your focus and participate in exhibitions, performances, and critiques. You'll concentrate in one of seven areas:
