What is Lyric Theatre?

Housed within our School of Music, Lyric Theatre combines comprehensive vocal training with movement and acting skills needed for the 21st century musical stage. Through this major, you’ll participate in fully staged productions of musical theatre and opera each year, being taught to use the body and voice in a healthy manner and singing many styles of music. You’ll choose between performance and creative concentrations and select electives based on your professional interests. Our dedicated teachers and top industry professionals will provide you with excellent career advice suited to your talents in a friendly, supportive environment with opportunities to engage with the professional world.
