What is Computer Science & Anthropology?

Our Computer Science and Anthropology major provides students who plan to pursue technical and professional careers in Anthropology a necessary foundation in Computer Science. This flexible program combines coursework in our Anthropology program with Computer Science classes. You’ll learn the broad anthropological studies of biology, archaeology, linguistics, and cultural knowledge of humans both past and present. You’ll also gain the computation skills to study how people live and communicate as social beings, and ultimately create designs and user interfaces that meet their needs. Exploring questions of globalization, community, security, the ethics of privacy, social transformation, and social justice, you’ll become a global citizen with both problem-solving and intercultural skills.
