What is Speech & Hearing Science?

This major investigates human communication: how it works and how it changes over time, as well as how to prevent and treat communication differences and disabilities. You’ll learn about human communication’s social foundations, as well as communication disorders, choosing from one of four concentrations: Audiology, Cultural-Linguistic Diversity, Neuroscience of Communication, and Speech-Language Pathology. Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology students will also observe and participate in the delivery of a full range of clinical services to communicatively impaired individuals.
