What is Sculpture?

Our Sculpture Program develops students’ individual interests in sculpture. Students will gain critical thinking skills as well as visual and cultural literacy. This major places an emphasis on concept and innovation. In your courses, you will study current art theory and practice. You’ll also learn 3D design and fabrication, mold making, painting, drawing, and installation art. With these studies, you'll gain the professional skills and habits necessary to establish a unique and self-directed studio practice. Starting in your junior year, you’ll have your own studio space in a communal studio building where you can bring this practice to life. You must submit a portfolio before being accepted into this program.
